General questions
Start here if you are new to our comparison services.
What categories can I compare through Credence?
We currently cover financial products (credit cards, savings accounts, mortgages, personal loans), insurance plans (health, auto, home, life, travel), software and SaaS platforms (CRM, project management, accounting, HR), telecom and internet packages, energy providers and home-services contractors. If your category is not listed, reach out — we regularly expand our coverage based on client demand and can create a custom comparison for niche markets.
How long does a comparison report take?
Our standard turnaround is five business days from the moment we receive your completed questionnaire and payment. For time-sensitive decisions we offer a 48-hour rush option at an additional fee. Enterprise engagements involving more than ten providers or multiple product categories may require a custom timeline, which we establish during the scoping call.
Do you accept commissions or referral fees from providers?
Absolutely not. Our revenue comes entirely from the fees our clients pay for comparison reports. We never accept affiliate commissions, referral bonuses or advertising payments from the companies we evaluate. This strict policy is what allows us to provide genuinely unbiased recommendations, and it is a core pillar of the trust our clients place in us.
How do you score and rank providers?
Every comparison uses a weighted rubric tailored to the product category. For insurance, the rubric might weight claim-settlement ratio at 25 %, premium cost at 20 %, coverage breadth at 20 %, customer-service responsiveness at 15 %, digital experience at 10 % and financial stability at 10 %. We share the exact rubric in every report so you can see how each score was derived and adjust weights to match your own priorities.
Can I request a comparison of providers not on your list?
Yes. When you fill in the intake questionnaire you can specify any providers you want included. If they operate in Canada or offer services to Canadian residents, we will add them to the comparison at no extra cost. For international providers, a small research surcharge may apply because of additional regulatory and currency considerations.
What does a finished report look like?
You receive a PDF document that includes an executive summary, a side-by-side feature table, individual provider profiles with pros and cons, a scoring matrix, a final recommendation and an appendix listing all data sources. Enterprise clients may also request an interactive spreadsheet or slide-deck format for internal presentations.
Is my personal information safe?
We take data security seriously. All form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Personal data is stored in encrypted databases and is never shared with the providers we evaluate or with any third party. We comply with Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA, and retain data only as long as necessary to fulfil your request — typically no longer than 24 months.
Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied?
If you feel the report did not meet the scope outlined in your intake questionnaire, contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will either revise the report at no additional cost or issue a full refund. Our goal is your complete satisfaction, and we stand behind the quality of every comparison we produce.
Pricing and payment
Transparent pricing is part of our commitment to honesty.
How much does a standard comparison report cost?
Individual consumer reports start at $149 CAD and cover up to five providers in a single category. Business reports, which typically involve more providers and deeper analysis, start at $495 CAD. Enterprise packages with ongoing monitoring begin at $1,200 CAD per quarter. Exact pricing depends on the complexity and number of providers, and we always provide a firm quote before work begins.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Interac e-Transfer and direct bank transfer. For enterprise clients we can also accommodate purchase-order billing with net-30 terms upon credit approval. All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes.
